Our Company

Shipping companies are organised for the purpose of running direct and regular services between certain ports, or for the purpose of owning vessels which may be chartered as and when business opportunities appear toothsome. As a matter of interest, it may be observed that many companies purchase new vessels from time to time. This is not the case with Janczyk & Karnicki Co., whose two pre-eminent craft, the SS Rangoon and the SS Ortalion are vintage reconditioned ships with many years engine learning and experience embedded in their hull, navigation and accommodation systems. They are ships each with a mind of her own, much as the Board Games they have inspired.

J & K Co. vessels and crew act together, improvising like a seasoned dance band when under pressure. Even so, the Captain and the SS Rangoon remain primi inter pares, the most unpredictable members of an unpredictable team, permanently in cahoots.
